Newsletter 9/27-10/1

Thank You!
Thank you so much for sending in apples to help us with our taste test and making applesauce. Also, thank you for sending apple desserts and for helping your child dress like Johnny Appleseed. We have had a wonderful week.
Ask your child to show you the parts of an apple and describe them.

Rachel’s Challenge:
Please fill out a paper chain for your child’s kind acts at home so we can add to our “chain reaction.” Please remember to send the chain link back to school.

Essential 55:
Each day we learn a life skill that we reinforce throughout all of our lessons. This is a school wide program. This week we discussed:*Ask a teacher if you need help. *Don’t chew with your mouth open or talk with your mouth full.*Be responsible for your trash after you eat.

Just a Reminder:

· Saturday, September 25, football at 11 am.
· Thursday, September 30, Scott Shupe Animal Assembly, 1:15
· Friday, October 1, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for sale in the morning car rider line.
· Saturday, October 2, football at 10 am
· Fall Break, October 4-10
· Book Fair, October 11-15

Letter Sounds:
Your child should know how to make the capital and lowercase and make the sounds for almost all 26 letters. Next week, N. Don’t forget our Show and Tell on Friday. Try to help your child blend some letters into words (log, hog, hot, got, pat, tap. Make as many as you can.).
