8-26-11 Newsletter

Students of the Month

August students of the month were chosen for their display of enthusiasm. These students are excited to be at school and always have a positive attitude. Congratulations to Lexi F., Raegan, and Matthew.

What We Are Learning
We have learned all of our colors and shapes, the letters l, 0, and g, days of the week, and the months. When we say we have learned certain letters, we mean that we have spent at least 5 school days learning the capital and lowercase formation of each letter and its sound. Please ask your child about some of these skills each day.

Upcoming
Next week, will will begin the letter H, number 3, and continue the numbers 1 and 2, as well as review l, o, g.

Thank You
We have had some amazing parent volunteers this week helping out with math materials, fry word cards, copies, and just visiting with our friends. Thank you so much for helping us. Thank you for sending in the decorated paper dolls. Ask your child what makes him/her special. We have done some cool things this week with names and learning what makes each of us unique and special. Next week, Families.

100s Club
This section each week will be to congratulate students who are already counting to 100. Students’ names will be in bold the first week and will remain on the newsletter for a few weeks. Names will be taken off as more students are added. Congratulations to these super smart, hardworking Wildcats:
Landon K., Sydney, Alec, Carter, Caden, Zach, Lexi F., Logan, Tray, Ty

Writing ABCs
Awesome job, writing all capital letters: Lexi F., Logan, Zach, Josi, Jerrad, Caden, Carter, Hailey, Tray

If you do not see your child’s name on the newsletter yet, please don’t worry. We are still assessing students on an individual basis.
