Blue Ribbon School – Striving for Excellence…No Exceptions-No Excuses!

Spelling Words
These will be our spelling words for the test on March 2. We are learning about long vowels.
• go
• he
• hi
• away

Important dates to remember…..
No school March 12 or March 23.
March 15, Parent-teacher conferences (unless we have made other arrangements) and report cards.

Next week is Kentucky Week. Help us celebrate and learn about our wonderful state by dressing to fit the theme each day.
• Monday, Pioneer Day
• Tuesday, College and Sports Day
• Wednesday, Government and State Symbols
• Thursday, Coal Miners
• Friday, Culture and Reading (We will wear pajamas this day because it is also Dr. Seuss’s birthday.)

Please remember that if we don’t have school, your child still has homework in his/her homework packet that should be completed and returned as scheduled. We are having trouble with students turning in homework late.

Please continue to work on Fry words. Every student should be finished with the first 25 by next Friday.

Thank you for always supporting our school and helping your child.

We need the following items: several boxes of cornstarch, large containers of whipped topping (not spray cans), several boxes of red jell-o. Please send one or more of these items if you can. Thanks.
